The Honda L15BE is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated inline-four petrol engine produced since 2013 as part of Honda's L-series, developed primarily for compact and subcompact models where simplicity, low running costs, and predictable reliability matter more than outright performance. It has been used extensively in the Honda Fit/Jazz, Vezel/HR-V, and Freed across multiple global markets, making it one of the most common small Honda engines of the past decade.

Producing 130hp and 155Nm of torque, the L15BE uses port fuel injection rather than the direct injection found in Honda's turbocharged L-series variants, a DOHC 16-valve head, and a compression ratio of 10.3:1. Some carbon deposit buildup on the intake valves can occur over very high mileage even with port injection, though this is far less pronounced than on direct-injected engines.
