Description
The seventh-generation Toyota Hilux (2004-2015) represents one of the most successful iterations of this legendary pickup truck establishing itself as the go-to workhorse across developing markets and adventure enthusiasts worldwide. Built on the IMV platform shared with the Fortuner SUV and Innova MPV it offered proven reliability with mechanical simplicity that mechanics anywhere could service and repair. This generation became famous for its extreme durability demonstrated in various tests including being submerged in ocean water set on fire and dropped from heights yet continuing to run. Available with robust diesel engines including the legendary 3.0L D-4D and a powerful 4.0L V6 petrol the Hilux could handle payload up to one ton and tow over three tons making it ideal for construction farming mining and off-road expeditions. The double cab version provided spacious accommodation for five passengers with a practical cargo bed while maintaining excellent ground clearance for challenging terrain.
