The Ford 1.5 EcoBoost is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine produced since 2014, developed as a mid-size member of Ford's EcoBoost family and used across the Fusion, Focus, Mondeo, Escape, Kuga, and C-Max. It was designed to replace larger naturally aspirated four-cylinder and V6 engines with a smaller, boosted unit that delivers comparable or better performance alongside meaningfully improved fuel economy.
